HPC Matters at Mardi Gras

Today is Mardi Gras, which puts me in mind of SuperComputing 2010 when we held the conference in still recovering New Orleans. I’m really excited to return there again for this year’s conference, where the theme is: HPC Matters.

I’m not a big conference swag person. I already own far too many bags emblazoned with logos of bygone conferences and events. I really don’t need another one. That said, there is a piece of swag from this SC’10 that I still use, the excellent black jacket given by HP and Intel at their joint evening event, which if I remember correct was held at Mardi Gras World. Kudos to them for making meaningful swag and throwing such a great party.

Even though it’s still a number of months off in the future, we can already start getting excited about it. SuperComputing is really the culmination of the HPC year, and we’ll be there with you.

Remember: HPC Matters
