Cluster Resources is proud to announce the first annual Moab Con! Moab Con 2008: Advancing Computing Intelligence is a four-day conference where HPC industry leaders and experts will meet together to discuss the latest HPC technology and current solutions that can be applied today on your compute infrastructure.
The first day of the conference will be an extensive training on TORQUE*, Moab Cluster Suite and Moab Grid Suite. Cluster Resources' developers will hold three-hour sessions in each topic and Q&A time with the developers will also be available.
Presenters from across the industry are lined up to share their ideas, insights and some of their work at this conference. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with session hosts and Cluster Resources developers in panel discussions and hear from fellow Moab users in case study sessions.
Don't miss this opportunity to collaborate and network with some of the best minds in the data center and HPC communities. Register now here

Michael Jackson, president of Cluster Resources, will show a live demonstration of a hybrid SUSE/Windows cluster that uses Moab Cluster Suite to dynamically change the OS of a node on-the-fly. The hybrid cluster delivers on a joint effort with Novell and Microsoft to create a unified cluster environment across both companies' operating systems.
Linux/Open Source on Wall Street takes place April 1 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.
Cluster Resources will attend and demonstrate Moab at International Supercomputing 2008 in Dresden, Germany June 17-20; Visit us at booth C-15/16
BrainShare'08 Michael Jackson, president of Cluster Resources, co-presented sessions with Novell on "Adaptive High Performance Computing with SUSE Linux and Windows" Tuesday and Friday at Novell's BrainShare. Sessions demonstrated how to maximize mixed SUSE Linux Enterprise and Windows Compute Cluster Server environments by leveraging the Moab Cluster Management toolset from Cluster Resources. Cluster Resources developers also demonstrated Moab Cluster Builder and the Moab Hybrid Cluster solution at booth #623. To find out more about these solutions, go to the product pages here and here or contact us at info@clusterresources.com
These live interactive demonstrations show how easy it is to evaluate Moab, and go into detail about the tools we provide that make the evaluation simple and effective.
The tutorial covers How to Use Moab, as well as the following:
-Moab Architecture -Installation
-Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
-Admin tools -End User tools
-Testing Modes
The next demonstrations are scheduled for:
--Part 1: Clusters U.S Time Zones
Wed., Apr. 2, 2008 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
Wed., Apr. 16, 2008 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
Wed., May 21, 2008 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
--Part 2: Grid U.S Time Zones
Wed., Apr. 23, 2008 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
If these times do not work for you, please contact us at eval-support@clusterresources.com to schedule a demonstration outside the listed times. EMEA training sessions are added periodically. To register for one of the time slots, please go here.
Simulations allow organizations to evaluate many scenarios that could not be properly evaluated in the real world. In particular, these evaluations may be impossible due to time constraints, budgetary or man-power limitations, hardware availability, or may even be impossible due to policy issues.
In such cases, simulation can help answer questions in countless scenarios and provide information such as the impact of additional hardware on cluster utilization, what delays to key projects can be expected with the addition of new users, how new prioritization weights will alter cycle distribution among existing workloads, etc.
