Events: Moab-Con 2009 (June 17-19)

Join other Moab users, industry leaders, Moab engineers, and Cluster Resources personnel for our second annual Moab-Con three-day users conference.

Moab-Con will be held in Provo, Utah, June 17-19, 2009.

Wednesday, June 17, will be an optional pre-conference day of intensive tutorial training sessions conducted by Moab engineers and designers.

Thursday and Friday, June 18 and 19, will be the two main conference days, packed with:

  • keynote speakers from industry-leading organizations,
  • presentations by Moab engineers,
  • technical training sessions,
  • panel discussions,
  • road-map presentations, and
  • other events aimed at helping you get the most out of Moab and your HPC or data center investment.

Software Updates and Releases: Moab Cluster Suite 5.3

Moab Cluster Suite 5.3 is now available for download.

Moab 5.3 new features:

  • integrated SQLite database for statistics
  • network lock facility for high availability
  • support for true NODESETDELAY behavior
  • improvements to support Sun Grid Engine (SGE) and Windows Compute Cluster (CCS) resource managers
  • support for green computing
  • beta thread-pool support for a subset of Moab's client commands

Release notes are available within the distribution.

Upgrading to Moab 5.3 is free for licensed users. All current functionality and features are retained when upgrading.

Online Training Sessions

Cluster Resources provides live interactive demonstrations to show how easily you can evaluate Moab. These demonstrations go into detail about the tools that make the evaluation simple and effective.

Part 1 of the training covers the use of Moab in a cluster environment, as well as the following areas: Moab architecture, installation, diagnostics and troubleshooting, admin tools, end user tools, and testing modes.

Part 2 of the training details Moab in a grid environment, including information on grid autonomy, credential remapping, and other grid-specific capabilities.
