This year's conference will include:
- In-depth technical tutorials for novice users or those who need a refresher on TORQUE, Moab Cluster Suite, Moab Grid Suite, Moab Adaptive HPC Suite and Moab Adaptive Computing Suite.
- Hands-on tutorials for advanced users aimed at helping you learn how to better utilize Moab in your environment.
- The opportunity to schedule one-on-one time with a Moab engineer.
- A detailed product roadmap presentation. You'll be the first to know about new releases and about the direction we're taking Moab, and you'll have the opportunity to add your feedback to the discussion; we need your help in shaping the future of Moab!
- Breakout sessions featuring guest speakers and case studies that will be hard-hitting and informative and will feature state-of-the-technology discussions and techniques.
- Plenty of opportunities for you to work one-on-one with Adaptive Computing reps and engineers, and network with fellow attendees, and guest speakers.
A preliminary detailed conference schedule will be available in March.

We are no longer taking reservations through our website, please contact the hotel directly.
We've arranged a special lodging rate of $99 a night at the Provo Marriott Hotel and Conference Center for MoabCon participants.
Government and military employees are eligible for a special lodging rate of $86 a night. You must present your government or military ID to the hotel when you check in or you will not receive this special rate.
Be sure to book your hotel accommodations ASAP. Space at the Provo Marriott fills up quickly, and there are no other hotels within walking distance of the conference center.

The Call for Abstracts is now closed. We will begin accepting abstracts for next year's conference in January 2012. Please check back at the beginning of the year for more information.
Adaptive Computing is pleased to announce we have a limited number of speaking slots available for our upcoming user conference, Moab-Con 2011, May 10-12. Sessions are currently available in the following conference tracks:
- High Performance Computing
- Cloud Computing
Sessions will be between 20-40 minutes in length, depending on the topic to be covered. Topics should be timely and of a technical nature.
Please submit the following for your proposed session by March 15, 2011:
- Title
- Abstract - 150 words or less
- Presenter's name and contact information
- Conference Track (HPC or Cloud)
- Technical Level (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced)
Adaptive Computing has final decision over what abstracts will be accepted--space is limited. In addition, Adaptive Computing reserves the right to have a copy writer edit abstracts for grammar and style consistency. By submitting an abstract, you are giving Adaptive Computing permission to make such changes.
Common Questions
Where and when is the conference held?
Moab-Con 2011 will be held May 10-12 in Provo, Utah, USA. Please visit www.adaptivecomputing.com/MoabCon for additional conference information.
How are topics selected?
Topics will be reviewed by a committee selected by Adaptive Computing to assess quality, interest, applicability and acceptability of the proposals. Presenters will be notified by March 18, 2011.
What topics are acceptable?
Sessions should describe implementations of, or integrations with, Adaptive Computing software. Best practices, new innovative case studies and white papers are encouraged. Topics of general interest to the attendee body will also be considered.
Do I have to write a paper?
No. However, you will need to create and submit a presentation (.ppt format) by May 6, 2011 for approval.
Do I need to submit my presentation before the conference?
Yes. All presentations for accepted sessions must be received by May 6, 2011. Presentations will be pre-loaded on presentation machines for the conference.
What if I need to make changes to my presentation?
All changes to accepted presentations must be approved prior to the session. Presented material MUST match the submitted material.
What languages are acceptable?
All sessions are to be given in English.
Will the proceedings be published?
There is no plan at this time to publish the written proceedings for this conference. Approved material will be posted to the conference website if allowed by the presenter.
How long are sessions?
Sessions will either be 20, 30 or 40 minutes in length. Presenters will be notified by March 18, 2011 with their session length. Presentations MUST fit into the allocated time slot.
Can I do a hands-on laboratory, online demo or technical training?
Any presentation not done entirely from a presentation will require special permission. Adaptive Computing will consider such requests on a case-by-case basis.
