Leverage Your Data Center Investment
Creating a Converged Data Center with HPC, Cloud and High Throughput Computing to Solve Energy, Life Sciences and EDA Challenges

Please join us for a FREE one-day conference to address the challenges that hinder productivity for Energy, Life Sciences and EDA data centers. Today’s data centers must be extremely responsive to business needs and are asked to do more with fewer resources. Adaptive Computing will provide solutions during this conference to help you create a converged infrastructure of HPC, Cloud and High Throughput Computing.

During this one-day conference, presentations will be given on the following topics:

Moab 9.0 – Optimization and Scheduling Middleware Software

The new features include a new job submission portal that gives ease-of-use to the end-user for improved productivity and decreased administrator overhead for end-user related issues. To improve job launch time of high throughput workloads, Adaptive has further improved the performance of its Nitro product. Adaptive Computing has also implemented NUMA capabilities, which deliver greater control and performance than other competing solutions. Together, these new improvements shorten the analysis process allowing the business to make game changing decisions quicker to gain a competitive advantage.

Viewpoint  – Administrative and End User Portal

Moab Viewpoint offers administrators and end-users a web-based GUI streamline the job submission process, track ongoing workloads and create reports on those workloads. In 9.0 Viewpoint gets a significant upgrade by adding an end-user job submission portal. This new feature creates greater self-sufficiency for the end-user while reducing administrative overhead. In addition, improvements have been made to the database access performance, which allows real-time reporting analytics for even the largest systems.

Traditionally Viewpoint allows admins to simplify administrative reporting, workload status tracking, and job resource viewing. Moab Viewpoint Portal ensures SLAs are met by allowing HPC administrators to maximize uptime and prove services were delivered and resources were allocated fairly.

Nitro – High Throughput Computing

Capable of integrating with Moab/Torque 9.0, as well as any PBS or LSF environments, Nitro, a localized decision making tool that enables high-speed throughput on short computing jobs, has dramatically improved performance and new easy-to-compare benchmark testing. Nitro is capable of launching 500 tasks per core per second resulting in up to 100 times faster throughput then other schedulers, while reducing latency. This results in greater efficiency when executing short-duration, low-resource jobs, which are very common for today’s workloads.

Elastic Computing – Private Cloud Bursting

Moab’s elastic computing capabilities manage resource expansion by bursting to other data center resources utilizing OpenStack or other standard platforms. It helps admins better manage the provisioning and performance challenges of bursty workloads. Special customers will speak about and demo how they are using elastic computing in production.

In addition to these great technical presentations, you will be given the opportunity to

  • Network with other users of Adaptive Computing products to learn and share best practices
  • Hear Moab Case Studies from the Energy, Life Sciences and EDA Customers
  • Moab Tips and Tricks and Lively Q&A

Please join us on Tuesday, September 29th in Houston, TX for this one-day conference designed to help you leverage your data center investment and create a converged data center infrastructure with HPC, Cloud and High Throughput Computing to Solve Energy, Life Sciences and EDA Challenges.

Although attendance is FREE, registration is required to attend.
