Software Developer

Adaptive Computing is seeking to fill a full-time position for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER. The company is headquartered in Naples, Florida with remote employees in the western U.S., Germany, the U.K., and India. The position is based in the Naples, FL office and relocation is not provided, so candidates must be local or planning to re-locate. The company enjoys a rock-solid industry reputation in High Performance Computing. We’ve built that reputation on our industry-leading Moab software technology. Moab® HPC Suite is a workload and resource orchestration platform that automates the scheduling, managing, monitoring, and reporting of HPC workloads on massive scale.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Write and maintain software in C and C++
  • Quickly learn and maintain existing code bases and design and architect new features
  • Write unit tests (in C) and QA regression tests (using PERL or Python)
  • Interact with Technical Support and customers to trouble shoot and resolve customer issues
  • Write and review design documents
  • Provide content for end user and system administrator documentation
  • Participate and complete tasks as a member of scrum/agile team(s)

Required Experience:

  • Programming language: C/C++, 5+ years’ experience
  • Operating System: Linux, 3+ years’ experience
  • Experience with Linux shell and scripting languages (e.g. bash, python, perl)
  • Experience with the following tools (or their equivalents): Valgrind, GDB
  • Experience with the following development tools (or their equivalents): Git, Jira, Autotools (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with Networking: TCP/IP
  • Familiarity with Filesystems (such as NFS or Lustre)
