Controller

Adaptive Computing is seeking to fill a full-time position for a CONTROLLER with Financial Reporting experience. The Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibilities with planning, documentation, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. The position is in our Naples, FL office. Relocation will not be provided, so candidates must be local. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the core team in a rapidly growing company.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Management of company accounting and finance functions and financial planning (i.e. modeling, budgeting and forecasting)
  • Oversee Human Resources and managing the payroll process
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep CEO informed

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Forecast income and trends rolling for 2 years and reviewed monthly to align with budgets
  • Optimize the handling of bank relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
  • Preparation of monthly financials with detailed explanations of variances
  • Reconcile several accounts on a regular basis
  • Manage credit card charges and bank accounts
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Process Accounts Payable paperwork
  • Maintain company insurance policies and benefits
  • Manage the payroll system and payroll related items
  • Maintain and track employee time-off records
  • Employee onboarding paperwork and records
  • Maintain all Purchasing and the Purchase Order Processing system
  • Maintain files as needed within the department
  • Prepare correspondence as needed within the department
  • Tracking and maintain company insurance policies and benefits
  • Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implementing recommendations for resolution
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice – by the CEO

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business with emphasis in accounting is required and 2+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Intact, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
  • Expert level in use of Excel Spreadsheets
  • Course work in job costing is recommended
  • MS Word, Excel
  • Excellent verbal/communication skills are required must be a good writer to handle the occasional administrative needs of the department
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of the business
